We know it can seem daunting to embark on a fitness programme but we have expert staff and simple and easy processes to ensure you get the help you need to enjoy using our gym. We offer three sessions with a qualified and experienced instructor: STEPS 1, 2 and 3. Between each STEP you will have time to use the gym with your programme to guide you. Qualified instructors are always available to help you at any stage.
If you have a question, just ask. You do not have to wait until the next session, though if you'd prefer to discuss something with your instructor you may have to make an appointment.

A chance to meet your instructor, review your medical history and identify your motivations. We’ll use our INBODY* results to identify your strengths and weaknesses. This can help us to agree goals and set a target to work towards. We’ll show you how to work the cardiovascular equipment and set you up a PREVA account to track your cardio activity. The aim of this appointment is that you’ve met a friendly instructor and you have confidence using the bikes, treadmills, cross-trainers and AMT’s. We’ll also book you in for a Step 2.

This appointment is all about you; its sole focus is to create a personalised resistance plan to meet your goals. Working with your instructor you will create a programme using any or all of the equipment within the gym. You’ll leave this session with a workout card that sets out your exercise and highlights the coaching points.
The aim of the session is to give you a plan you enjoy and for you to understand the purpose and feel of each exercise.
Allow 30 minutes
This meeting is ideally after 3 weeks of membership. It allows you to discuss how things are going. The instructor will review your progress and if necessary make adjustments to your programme. If you haven't yet tried Powerplate training this could be the ideal time. Just ask your instructor. If not PowerPlate there may be other equipment in the gym that you haven't used yet and would like an introduction.
We’ll also discuss Studio Classes and make recommendations on classes that will help you with your goals. If you can't wait until the 3rd week for this, ask any instructor any time or contact our Studio Coordinator who will be delighted to help you.
There is so much help on offer that we call it a Fitness Journey. We intend to keep you interested and motivated throughout your exercise. Its regularly said that exercise never get easier, you just get better and we want to support you to build your fitness for your lifestyle.
