RIDE 12- 30 DAY CHALLENGE
During this month we are encouraging all new and current members to participate in our Spin 30 day challenge. 30 days to complete 12 Classes. Every member that participates in the challenge and completes 12 spin classes in 30 days will receive a Beechdown Sweat towel RRP £10 You can grab a challenge form at any point in May and then you have a month from the first spin class to complete 12 spin classes. Both Virtual RPM and Instructor led classes count. If you've never tried spin before, what's stopping you? It's like a disco on a bike and the music will push your intensity higher than any gym floor workout! It's a short fast workout (30 & 45 minutes options) that spends lots of calories and will give you huge cardio benefits. To get started speak to an instructor and we can make sure you are set up and understand the bikes fully before you take part in your first class. Spinning is a great way of preparing for any cycle events you have coming up, (for example basingstoke Big Wheel) and increasing your cardio fitness, strength and power. You can build your fitness at each class as you get stronger and get used to the concept of the class. Ride 12 challenge forms will be available at the gym desk from May 1st.
Over the last couple of months the gym team have been inundated with appointments and conversations regarding nutrition and what to eat and not to eat as part of their diet. We have designed a week long food diary that we are encouraging you to take away and fill in for 7 days and then book in with an instructor within a week to go over your diet and how to adapt it to support your fitness programme. These can be picked up from the gym desk, make sure you book in your nutritional review at the same time for a week later.
Spin timetable update: Friday 7am class will now be taught by Sarah. Tanya will teach Friday at a new earlier start time of 1pm. Both classes 30 minutes long.
SARAH'S BOOTCAMP - EVERY SATURDAY
Just a reminder of Sarah's bootcamp every Saturday 11-11.45am. She will take it outside when the weather is good and bring it inside when it is raining and wet so you are sure to get a class every week. The great thing about this class is that it is versatile and will be different and challenging every week. You will use a variety of equipment and the whole class is functional which means that you will be working your whole body. Grab Sarah in the gym from more information

"NOT COFFEE" LATTE
Introducing three new hot drinks to the Brasserie menu. These three new Latte's don't contain any coffee but will still give you a great boost as they are full of health-benefiting ingredients. The three new flavours include:
1. TURMERIC ELIXR - bursting with flavour and goodness this latte is a blend of turmeric, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, and organic vanilla extracts.
2. ROOIBOS CHAI - combining the great taste of organic South African rooibos with the smooth spicy flavour of chai this latte is full of flavour, not too sweet and best of all it's 100% caffeine free!
3. MATCHA GREEN TEA LATTE - This drink is particularly popular among health-conscious consumers, due to its high level of antioxidants such as aspalathin and nothofagin, plus it's low tannin levels compared to fully oxidized black tea or unoxidized green tea leaves.
JACUZZI PLANNED CLOSURE - WEDNESDAY MAY 2ND
Please be aware that the Jacuzzi will be closed all day on Wednesday 2nd for work to replace all missing tiles and other essential maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience
Our Car Park is a busy place and for the benefit of all members please take care to park inside one space. Parking across 2 parking spaces is anti-social and denies another member a space to park in the car park. Cars badly parked will be left a note on wind screen asking them to park with more consideration. Thank you for your co-operation
To help with Car Parking we will be clearing more space on the drive approaching the club. This work should be completed before the weekend.
Following a review of Guest Fees and Guest usage of the club, Guest fees will increase from June 1st. The New Fees will be £15 for an adult guest at anytime. There will no longer be two prices for Adult Guests. Member's Children guest fees will increase to £8.
